Phos-Prep, the modern solution for Pretreatment. |

Phos-Prep PP 60S is an organic based paint stripper for removal of polyester paint finishes from ferrous metal surfaces by immersion. (It will also remove some epoxy-polyester paints with low epoxy contents). At lower temperatures it may also be used on aluminium and zinc substrates, however slight attack may occur with prolonged times and/or high temperatures. Where chromate has been applied on an aluminium substrate there will be no removal of the conversion coating, thus base metal attack will be reduced.

An organic based powder coating removal process. |
PP 60S operates at low temperature that saves energy, lowers fuel bills. There are low evaporation losses and no toxic fumes. Use less chemical with a longer bath life. Solids are easily removed. All of these attributes combine to lower costs and maintenance. The process is temperature dependent; doubling the temperature will approximately halve the paint removal time. Agitation of the Phos-Prep PP 60S or solution movement with agitators will also lower paint removal times even further.
